Darien Gas Station Robbery: Willowbrook Man Arrested

DARIEN, IL — A Willowbrook man has been arrested in connection with the July 14 armed robbery at a Shell Gas Station, 8226 Cass Ave. According to a release from Darien Police, Tyrone Hammond, 25, has been arrested and charged with armed robbery and aggravated robbery.

Darien Police, with the Felony Investigative Assistant Team SWAT TEAM and Major Crimes Unit, executed a warrant on Lilac Lane in Willowbrook early Tuesday morning. According to a release, Hammond was developed as a suspect by Darien Police detectives in connection with the July 14 gas station armed robbery and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.

Police said Hammond was processed and transported to DuPage County Jail to await a bond hearing.
