Darien Man Accused Of Damaging Phone In Argument: Cops
In other incidents, police responded to thefts at two stores in recent days, according to reports.

DARIEN, IL — Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:
Criminal damage
- Adeniyi Agbejule, 40, of Darien, was cited about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of Lakeview Drive on a charge of criminal damage to property. According to a police report, a woman said Agbejule damaged her cellphone during an argument. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Theft

- A man asked for two cartons of Newport cigarettes about 1 a.m. Saturday at Shell gas station, 8975 Lemont Road. The suspect then distracted the clerk and left without paying. The loss was $182.
- A man stole liquor about 8 p.m. Saturday at CVS, 8325 Lemont Road. A store employee saw the man concealing the items. When he was confronted, the man left in a white van. The approximate loss is unknown.
Converters stolen
- A catalytic converter was removed from a car between Jan. 19 and Jan. 23 in a parking lot in the 1100 block of Plainfield Road. The loss is estimated at $600. Another catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle between Jan. 16 and Jan. 21 in the 1500 block of Darien Lake Drive. The loss is estimated at $350.
DUI

- Jose Ortiz Magana, 33, of Westmont, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Sunday near Interstate 55 and Route 83 on charges of DUI, failure to signal, improper lane usage, disobeying a traffic control signal, speeding and open alcohol. Magana was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Angel Clark, 21, of Chicago, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 8300 block of Lemont Road on charges of DUI, endangering the health or life of a child, transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver, improper lane usage, operating a motor vehicle while using a phone, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving without a license plate light and failure to carry a driver's license on her person while driving. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
