Darien Man Accused Of Domestic Battery: Police
In another case, a man is accused of pulling a fire alarm with no evidence of a fire, authorities said.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police handled cases involving domestic battery, disorderly conduct, theft, DUI, stolen signs and fraud. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:
Domestic battery
- A 58-year-old Darien man who lives in the 1900 block of Manning Road was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Monday at his house on charges of domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Disorderly conduct

- A 54-year-old man living at WoodSpring Suites, 951 N. Frontage Road, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge. Police said he pulled a fire alarm with no evidence of a fire. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Theft
- A person told police that a cellphone valued at $1,000 was stolen between 9:25 p.m. and 9:35 p.m. Sunday in the front lobby at the Extended Stay America hotel, 2345 Sokol Court.
DUI

- A 29-year-old Chicago woman was arrested Sunday on charges of DUI, endangering the health or life of a child, transportation of alcohol by a driver and improper turn at intersections. Police said an officer saw the woman make an improper right turn from the wrong lane. The officer stopped the woman at Nantucket Drive and 75th Street. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
Stolen signs
- Two signs were stolen between Sept. 5 and Sept. 8 from a front lawn in the 200 block of Peony Place.
Fraud
- About 3 p.m. Sunday, a woman told police that she received a Facebook message from a man who was interested in buying furniture listed on Facebook Marketplace. She met with the man in the parking lot at Walmart, 2189 75th St. She received what appeared to be a Zelle payment on her phone. But she said the money never went into her Chase Bank account. She tried contacting the seller, but was blocked. She was out $120.
