Darien Man Among Latest DUI Arrests: Cops
Another local man was arrested on a traffic warrant, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:
DUI
- Paul Kulhavy Jr., 31, of Darien, was arrested about 1 a.m. Nov. 7 on charges of DUI and improper lane usage. Police said Kulhavy tried to pull into the parking lot of Chuck's Southern Comforts Cafe, 8025 Cass Ave., but went over the top of the curb on the south side of the entrance and then did so again. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Alayna Cortez, 20, of Aurora, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of 75th Street on charges of DUI, speeding, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of open alcohol by a driver. Police said she was speeding 80 mph in a 45 mph zone. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Dariusz Zmuda, 55, of Naperville, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Sunday on Lemont Road at Woodmere Drive on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Warrants

- Adel Alsoubani, 43, of Darien, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. in the 7800 block of Lemont Road on a state police traffic warrant. He was stopped for speeding 57 mph in a 40 mph zone and failing to signal, police said. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Dontae Grady, 30, of Merrillville, Indiana, was arrested shortly after midnight Nov. 8 on a warrant charging failure to appear in court. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Damage
- Someone spray-painted graffiti on two concrete blocks in the parking area between Walmart and Petsmart in the Darien Towne Center, 2189 75th St. The damage was reported Nov. 7.
Burglary

- Someone stole multiple items from a storage locker between 5 p.m. Nov. 6 and 5 p.m. Nov. 7 at Public Storage, 1001 N. Frontage Road. The loss was estimated at $1,400.
