Darien Man Charged In Aggravated Domestic: Cops

In another case, a local man was arrested in a hit-and-run crash, police said.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police handled cases involving aggravated domestic battery, a hit-and-run crash, a disturbance and DUI. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:

Aggravated domestic battery

  • Joshua Nabors, 32, who lives in the 1100 block of Hinswood Drive in Darien, was arrested shortly after midnight Thursday at his house on a charge of aggravated domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • A 57-year-old Darien man who lives in the 900 block of Andermann Lane was arrested about 10 p.m. Thursday on a charge of failure to report an accident. A man told police that his car was struck on the front side at Cass Avenue and 71st Street, but the 57-year-old driver fled south on Cass Avenue. The suspect was released and given a date to appear in court.

Disturbance

  • Police responded to a disturbance about 8 p.m. Thursday in the 8000 block of Wildwood Lane. A 52-year-old man who lives in the block was arrested on warrants charging failure to appear in court in DuPage and Kane counties. He was taken to the Kane County Jail.

DUI

  • A 41-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 3 a.m. Saturday on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured car, improper lane usage and expired plates. Police said an officer saw the 41-year-old swerve from the left lane over the center median near Lemont Road and 83rd Street. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
