Darien, Woodridge Men Arrested In Domestics: Cops

Both men were taken to the DuPage County Jail, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • William Schulz, 49, of Darien, was arrested about 2 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Darien Lake Drive on two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Ellezer Torres, 49, of Woodridge, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove on a charge of domestic battery. Police said the battery occurred at Walmart, 2189 75th St. Torres was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Felony retail theft

  • Trent Grady, 52, of Radcliff, Kentucky, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a felony charge of retail theft. Police said he under-rang items in the self-checkout aisle. Patch has asked Darien police about Grady's address. Grady was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Drugs

  • Jonathan Noriega, 23, and Laura Gutierrez, 25, both of Joliet, were arrested about 1 a.m. Jan. 18 on drug-related charges. An officer who pulled them over near Interstate 55 and Cass Avenue smelled marijuana and saw burnt blunts in the center cupholder. Noriega was charged with possession of more than 100 grams of marijuana. Gutierrez was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • Justin Williams, 25, of Westmont, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 6100 block of Cass Avenue on charges of DUI, speeding and improper passing of an emergency vehicle. Police said he was speeding 83 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
