Elmhurst Man Resists Darien Cops: Authorities

The man runs into a Willowbrook police car, police said.

DARIEN, IL – An Elmhurst man last week matched the description of a suspect wanted for failing to appear in court on a robbery warrant, authorities said.

Police said they stopped a car with Terrence Thomas, 20, as a passenger about 1 a.m. Saturday near 67th Street and Route 83. Thomas lives in an apartment building in the 300 block of South West Avenue in Elmhurst, police said.

Thomas repeatedly said his first name was TJ, not Terrence, police said. He fled, running into a Willowbrook police car, according to a report.

Thomas was charged with resisting an officer, obstructing identification and attempting criminal damage to government property.

Thomas was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
