Elmhurst Petco Adoption Event Features 80 Adoptable Dogs and Puppies
Over 80 dogs and puppies of all breeds and sizes are waiting to lick your face at multi-shelter adoption event this Saturday and Sunday.

Looking for a new best friend? TAILS Humane Society in DeKalb has teamed up with Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin and the Elmhurst Petco for a multi-shelter adoption event featuring over 80 adoptable dogs and puppies of all breeds. The pooches will be available for adoption from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, August 23, and Sunday, August 24 at the Petco store located at 199 Illinois Route 83 in Elmhurst.
“We’re excited to partner with Anderson Animal Shelter and Petco to help these wonderful dogs and puppies find their forever homes,” said Michelle Groeper, executive director of TAILS. “The more we collaborate with each other, the further our missions reach in the community and the more animals that are saved.”
Adult dog adoptions will be $225 and puppies (under 6 months of age) will be $350. All dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and dewormings and microchipped. All adoptions will include a free vet exam at a participating veterinary clinic and one free month of free pet health insurance. Puppy adoptions include their obedience class fee as well.
