New Alderman Appointed For Darien

DARIEN, IL — A new alderman has been appointed for Darien's Ward 2. Lester Vaughan was appointed with unanimous consent of the city council at its meeting on March 19.

In a release, Vaughan said he looks forward to serving the community. Vaughan will serve the rest of this position's term until May 2019, when citizens can vote again on the position.

The opening for ward 2 came because of the resignation of Tina Beilke. Beilke resigned from the council because she moved out of Ward 2.
