Stalking, Attempted Break-In: Darien Cops
A woman showed up at a house despite a court order telling her to stay away, police said.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police handled a woman with a no-stalking order, an attempted burglary, theft, excessive speeding and damage. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:
Stalking order
- Eliset McChesney, 42, of Aurora, was arrested about 4 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of Darien Club Drive on a charge of violating a no contact order. She showed up while movers were taking items from a house on the street. The homeowner has a no-stalking court order against McChesney, requiring her to stay away from the house. McChesney was released and given a date to appear in court.
Attempted burglary

- A resident in the 7400 block of Adams Street called the police about 4:30 a.m. May 23 about hearing noises outside and the front door rattling. An officer saw several plants and planters knocked down. Two lower level windows appeared partially opened along with a planter laying on its side. The resident also said a vehicle sped past the house.
Theft
- A landscape worker called police shortly before 6 p.m. May 24 about someone stealing equipment in the front yard of a house in the 1400 block of Plainfield Road when the worker was in the backyard. A doorbell camera showed a driver stop in front of the house, get out and steal an Echo 9010 backpack blower valued at $600.
Excessive speeding

- Wojciech Lewkowicz, 42, of Lemont, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Friday on southbound Interstate 55 at Cass Avenue on charges of speeding and aggravated speeding in a construction zone. He swerved in and out of traffic at 117 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Damage
- A mailbox was reported damaged overnight Friday in the 3000 block of Grandview. The estimated loss is $100.
