Teen Arrested for Drug Possession at Hinsdale Central

The school district will continue using unannounced canine searches in 'efforts to promote a safe and drug-free learning environment.'

A Hinsdale Central student was arrested Dec. 9 and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, according to The Doings Clarendon Hills.

Hinsdale Deputy Police Chief Kevin Simpson wouldn’t tell The Doings what kind of drugs the 15-year-old boy was charged with having in his possession.

Canines searched both Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South High Schools on Dec. 9, according to a Hinsdale Township High School District 86 news release. The searches were made by the Darien and Hinsdale Police Departments.

The release stated that the school district will continue using unannounced canine searches in ”efforts to promote a safe and drug-free learning environment.”
