Woman With 2 Guns Arrested In Darien: Police
She was illegally parked in a handicapped spot and smelled of marijuana, according to a report.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:
Weapons charge
- Trekesha Cross, 42, of Baker, Louisiana, was arrested about 11 a.m. Aug. 24 on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon. Police said they stopped Cross in the 7500 block of Lemont Road after seeing her stopped in a handicapped parking space with her engine running. She had no handicapped placard visible. An officer recovered two handguns from Cross' car and smelled marijuana on the woman. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
DUI

- A 55-year-old man from Joliet was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Friday near Interstate 55 and Cass Avenue on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, driving an uninsured car and improper lighting. Police said they stopped the man because he did not have his lights on and was drifting into the left lane. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Theft
- A man was seen stealing license plates from a car between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of 83rd Street. A neighbor witnessed the theft.
