📰 News we're reading

• Millikin football falls short of comeback against Carroll, 31-28 (wandtv.com) — Millikin football nearly pulled off a dramatic homecoming comeback in Decatur, rallying from a 21-0 deficit before falling 31-28 to Carroll after a late missed field goal. Big Blue fans still saw standout performances from AJ Lee on the ground and Sylas Gomez through the air as Millikin dropped its second CCIW game of the season.

• ADM and CJ to form amino acid joint venture (feedstuffs.com) — ADM's feed-grade amino acid plant in Decatur is set to become part of a new joint venture with global biotech company CJ CheilJedang, aimed at strengthening U.S. production and supply of key livestock nutrients. While ADM keeps its other Decatur operations, this deal could influence local manufacturing roles and the city's place in the global agricultural supply chain.
