Wisconsin Man Nabbed On Gun Charge: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED/SUSPENDED

• Jeffery A. Havert, 42, of the 900 block of Cedar Lake Road, Round Lake Beach, is accused of driving while license revoked, driving with suspended registration, and was arrested Aug. 22 at Route 12 and Route 120, Lakemoor. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Robert E. Allen, 60, of the 0-100 block of North Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving while license revoked, no insurance, and was arrested Aug. 23 at 31st Street and Sheridan Road, Zion. Bond was set at $2,000.
• Saphon D. Castillo, 20, of the 2700 block of Ezekiel Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving while license suspended, and was arrested Aug. 23 at North Avenue and Beach Road, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Luis Luna, Jr., 20, of the 1200 block of Jackson Street, North Chicago, is accused of driving while license suspended, speeding, and was arrested Aug. 26 at Routes 120 and 45, Grayslake. Bond was set at $1,500.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Antoine M. Morris, 58, of the 1500 block of Prescott Drive, Volo, had a warrant out of McHenry County for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested Aug. 22 in Volo. Bond was set at $20,000 and a future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

• Rimantas Janulis, 49, of the 33900 block of Treenline Court, unincorporated Grayslake, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested Aug. 23 in unincorporated Grayslake. Bond was set at $100,000 and a court date of Sept. 1 was assigned.
• Jeremiah A. Smith, 19, of the 38500 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, had a warrant for domestic battery, and was arrested Aug. 23 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $50,000 and a court date of Sept. 20 was assigned.
• Uriel Hernandez-Delfin, 28, of the 700 block of Lenox Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested Aug. 26 at West Casey Road and N. Almond Road, unincorporated Libertyville. Bond was set at $40,000 and a court date of Aug. 31 was assigned.
• Kevin Weaver, 27, of the 130000 block of W. Heiden Circle, unincorporated Lake Bluff, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested Aug. 27 in unincorporated Lake Bluff. Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date of Sept. 14.
• Oleksander Orlov, 39, of the 1000 block of W. Danbury Drive, Cary, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested Aug. 27 in the 27000 block of W. Route 173, unincorporated Antioch. Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date of Sept. 8 was assigned.

THEFT

Kevin Cisneros, 28, of the 2700 block of Elizabeth Avenue, Zion, had a warrant for theft, and is accused of resisting a peace officer on a new charge, and was arrested Aug. 23 at Wadsworth Road and Gabriel Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $250,000 and a court date of Sept. 7 was assigned.

BATTERY

Sergio Millan-Ortega, 33, of the 18700 block of W. Edwards Road, unincorporated Antioch, is accused of battery, and was arrested Aug. 24, in unincorporated Antioch. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of Sept. 21 was assigned.

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE

• Brenda Barrera Rodriguez, 25, of the 8500 block of Niles Center Road, Niles, is accused of no driver's license, and was arrested Aug. 24 at Route 41 and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Jaella Q. Lear, 33, of the 1900 block of Horeb Avenue, Zion, is accused of no driver's license, driving with a suspended registration, no insurance, and was arrested Aug. 25 at Leland and Lewis avenues, Beach Park. Bond was set at $2,000.

OPERATING A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE WITHOUT A COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE

Jose Diaz Davila, 33, of the 1800 block of W. 45th Street, Chicago, is accused of operating a commercial vehicle without a commercial driver's license, and was arrested Aug. 24 at Russell Road and Trumpet Park Drive, Zion. Bond was set at $1,500.

SPEEDING

Edgar Duran, 20, of the 800 block of N. McAree Road, Waukegan, is accused of aggravated speeding in a construction zone (80 mph in a 45 mph zone), and was arrested Aug. 25 at Route 41 and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. Bond was set at $1,500.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Cesar Ruiz, 36, of the 0-100 block of Jefferson Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated speeding (63 mph in a 35 mph zone), no insurance, and was arrested Aug. 25 at Lewis Avenue and Blanchard Road, Waukegan. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Oct. 5 was assigned.
• Ernesto Mendoza-Martinez, 42, of the 1600 block of Bernay Lane, Long Grove, is accused of driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, and was arrested Aug. 26 at Schaeffer and Checker roads, Long Grove. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of Oct. 19 was assigned.
• Daniel Manueles-Guerrero, 36, of the 3000 block of Enoch Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of endangering the life of a child, speeding, improper lane usage, and was arrested Aug. 26, at Sheridan Road and 33rd Street, Zion. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of Oct. 12 was assigned.
• Sara Mendoza, 29, of the 2200 block of Nichols Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, driving while license suspended, unlawful possession of adult use cannabis in a vehicle, two counts of endangering the life of a child, and was arrested Aug. 27 at Route 137 and I-94, North Chicago Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Oct. 26 was assigned.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

Mcred Valderama, 36, of the 24000 block of W. Passavant Avenue, unincorporated Round Lake, is accused of four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual abuse, criminal sexual assault, and was arrested Aug. 26 in unincorporated Round Lake. Bond was set at $10,000,000 and a court date of Sept. 21 was assigned.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Eric Gatlin, 43, of the 300 block of Commonwealth Avenue, Elgin, had a warrant for violation of an order of protection, and was arrested Aug. 26, in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $100,000 and a court date of Sept. 21 was assigned.

PROBATION VIOLATION

Cody Washington, 26, homeless, had a warrant out of McHenry County for probation violation, and is accused of a new charge of obstructing identification, and was arrested Aug. 27 at N. Lake Shore Drive and N. Oakland Drive, unincorporated Grayslake. Bond was set at $50,000 and a future court date in McHenry County was to be determined at the time of the report.

POSSESSION OF A STOLEN FIREARM

John Mims, 26, of DeForest, Wisconsin, had a warrant out of Cook County for possession of a stolen firearm, and was arrested Aug. 27 in the 33000 block of N. Idlewild Drive, unincorporated Grayslake. There was no bond and a future court date in Cook County was to be determined at the time of the report.
