2 Men, 1 With A Stun Gun, Arrested For Car Burglaries In Lincolnshire

The 2nd suspect was identified by police after "driving slowly" in their direction.

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL — Two Chicago men were arrested in connection with an investigation into car burglaries in Lincolnshire Monday. Police were called to a report of a suspicious person around Elmwood and Cedar lanes in Lincolnshire at 11:42 p.m.

Samuel J. Clavette, 19, of the 6500 block of Seeley Avenue, Chicago, was arrested by responding officers, who determined that he had committed at least three car burglaries in Lincolnshire. Police said Clavette was found to have a stun gun without a valid firearms owner's card.

Then, while police were speaking with Clavette, they noticed another vehicle "driving slowly toward their direction," according to Lincolnshire police.

The second driver was identified as 20-year-old Shane A. Diehl-Bremer, 20, of the 1300 block of Kedzie Avenue in Chicago.

Police spoke to Diehl-Bremer. who initially provided false information, and learned that the car he was driving had been reported stolen out of Norridge, according to police.

Both men were arrested.

Clavette was charged with three felony counts of burglary to a motor vehicle and one felony count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle and one misdemeanor count of unlawful use of a weapon.

Diehl-Bremer was charged with two misdemeanors: criminal trespass to a motor vehicle and obstructing identification.

Clavette has a scheduled court appearance on Oct. 20, while Diehl-Bremer was given a court date of Nov. 17 in Waukegan.
