5 DUI Arrests Reported In Riverwoods: Police

RIVERWOODS, IL — The following information comes from the Riverwoods Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

DUI

• James M. King, 44, of the 900 block of Bruce Court, Libertyville, was arrested at 12:54 a.m. June 3, after police stopped a vehicle near Portwine Road and Blackthorn Road. King was charged with disobeying a stop sign, improper lane usage, open transportation of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was processed, charged, released and is scheduled to appear in court July 9 in Waukegan.
• Andrey Pankov, 52, of the 300 block of Oak Creek Drive, Wheeling, was arrested at 1:27 a.m. June 5, after police stopped a vehicle near Lake Cook Road and Portwine Road. Pankov was charged with speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was processed, charged, released and is scheduled to appear in court July 9 in Waukegan.
• Brandon Javier DeJesus, 27, of the 500 block of South Milwaukee Avenue, Wheeling, was arrested at 7:24 p.m. June 6, after police stopped a vehicle near the 900 block of Saunders Road. DeJesus was charged with speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was processed, charged, released and is scheduled to appear in court July 9 in Waukegan.
• Terenz A. Bonner, 25, of the 1800 block of West 84th Drive, Merrillville, Indiana, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. June 7, after police stopped a vehicle near Lake Cook Road and Portwine Road. Bonner was charged with speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was processed, charged, released and is scheduled to appear in court July 9 in Waukegan.
• Jessica V. Chihuahua Garcia, 35, of the 500 block of Manda Lane, Wheeling, was arrested at 3:58 a.m. May 24, after police stopped a vehicle near Milwaukee Avenue and Deerfield Road. Chihuahua Garcia was charged with expired registration and driving under the influence of alcohol. She was processed, charged, released and is scheduled to appear in court June 18 in Waukegan.

Reckless Driving

Antonio Guzman Alavarado, 19, of the 1400 block of Evergreen, Palatine, was arrested at 12:24 a.m. June 7, after police investigated a single-vehicle crash near Lake Cook Road and Saunders Road. Guzman Alavarado was charged with reckless driving, disobeying a red light, no headlights when required, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, unlawful transportation of cannabis and zero tolerance. He was processed, charged, released and is scheduled to appear in court July 1 in Waukegan.

Warrant

Anthony A. Thompson Wilson, 29, of the 1200 block of Deerfield Parkway, Buffalo Grove, was stopped at 1:20 a.m. June 8, near Milwaukee Avenue and Deerfield Road for a traffic violation. Police said Thompson Wilson had an active Pike County warrant for contempt of court/failure to appear. He was released after posting bond and is scheduled to appear July 15 at the Pike County Courthouse in Pittsfield.
