$6.3 Million In State Funding Will Benefit Deerfield: Rep. Morgan
Recently completed infrastructure upgrades and future repairs to Pfingsten and Waukegan roads are included in the state's $45 billion plan.

DEERFIELD, IL — The $45 billion Illinois capital funding plan passed earlier this year includes funding for $1.6 million in capital improvements already completed in Deerfield, as well as more than $6 million in funding for future road projects involving the village, according to the Deerfield Review.
State Rep. Bob Morgan, Deerfield Democrat, told Pioneer Press he helped secure $3.2 million for pavement rehabilitation on Pfingsten Road from Lake Cook Road to East Lake Avenue in Glenview, nearly $2.4 million to replace the Pfingsten Road bridge over the Edens Spur and repair its deck and $737,000 in funding to resurface Waukegan Road between North Avenue and Kates Road.
The bill also covered the cost of $1.35 million in infrastructure improvements in the Woodland Park subdivision completed last month and $225,000 in work on the North Trail subdivision completed in 2015, according to village staff. Morgan told Pioneer Press property tax relief was part of the goal of allocating state dollars to previously planned municipal infrastructure projects.
