70th Anniversary of D-Day @ Deerfield Public Library

In honor of the 70th anniversary of D-Day, local author and veteran battlefield historian Robert Mueller will present "The Men of Omaha Beach" at the Deerfield Public Library. The program is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10, 7:00 p.m.

Mueller will describe the experience with period and contemporary photographs and maps, illuminating how the invasion took place, and the soldiers responsible for the success of risky endeavor. 

The presenter's new book, Fields of War: Battle of Normandy, was recently recognized as a Finalist in the Travel Category of the Next Generation Indie Book Awards, sponsored by the Independent Book Publishing Group. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
