Armed Bank Robbers Strike Riverwoods Chase Branch As It Opens
Two men robbed a bank on Milwaukee Avenue Monday morning after brandishing a handgun, police and the FBI said.

RIVERWOODS, IL — Police are looking for a pair of bank robbers who struck a Riverwoods bank Monday morning. Two men walked into the Chase Bank branch at 2025 Milwaukee Ave. around 8:35 a.m., just as the bank was opening, according to Riverwoods police and the FBI. At least one of the men brandished a gun, and the robbers ran off with an unspecified amount of cash.
The FBI confirmed it is on scene investigating a takeover robbery at the bank, which is located in a Milwaukee Avenue strip mall just north of Deerfield Road.
One man wore a black hat, a dark-colored face covering, a black jacket, blue nitrile gloves and black pants, according to the FBI.

The second robber wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black sunglasses, a red bandanna, blue nitrile gloves and black pants.

The FBI is offering a reward of $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the robbers, who it said should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact the FBI's Chicago field office at 312-421-6700.
