All eight Zengeler locations serving as drop-off point for 2014 dress
drive

Deerfield, IL, February 25, 2014: 
Spring is just a few short weeks away . . . and prom season can’t be far
behind!  With that in mind, all eight
Zengeler Cleaners stores are now accepting donations for the 2014 Glass Slipper
Project collection drive.  The Glass
Slipper Project (GSP) is an all-volunteer organization providing opportunities
for area high school women to experience the joy of prom at their schools.  Zengeler Cleaners is supporting the GSP
initiative for the 12th consecutive year.

“This is one of our favorite times of the year at Zengeler Cleaners,” said
Tom Zengeler, President of Illinois’ oldest cleaners.  “We really enjoy the opportunity to work with
students from local schools, along with other community-minded businesses, in
support of the Glass Slipper Project. 
Our goal for this year is to collect approximately 4,000 dresses – a lofty
goal, but one we’re confident can be met with the continued support of local
schools and the local business community.”

Zengeler Cleaners and the Glass Slipper Project look to build on the
success of working in partnership for the past dozen years.  During that time, many generous donors have
contributed thousands of dresses and a wide range of accessories, such as
shoes, purses and other formal wear accessories.  Last year alone, Zengeler Cleaners’ eight
stores collected more than 3,500 dresses, hundreds of pairs of shoes, as well
as jewelry and other accessories valued at nearly $2 Million.

Over the past several years, GSP has helped approximately 19,000 high
school women experience the joy of prom, made possible by the donations of
lovingly-worn prom dresses and accessories. 
Thanks to the enthusiastic support from companies like Zengeler
Cleaners, the organization has been able to sustain and expand their worthy
cause, which began in 1999.

It all leads up to the series of three consecutive Saturday opportunities
for high school women to visit the GSP’s “shopping boutiques,” which will be
scheduled in late April and early May, in cooperation with Chicago Public
Schools.  Students will have the
assistance of a personal shopper, who will help them select their dresses and
accessories – all provided free of charge by GSP. The location of this year’s
boutiques, along with the exact dates, will be announced in the next few weeks.
