Bringing Contraband To Lake County Jail Warrant Served: Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE

Sergio A. Chavez, 20, of the 38200 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of no driver's license, and was arrested June 20 at Sheridan and Yorkhouse roads, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500.

CONTINUING A FINANCIAL CRIME ENTERPRISE

A warrant was obtained on June 21 for Octavia S. Lymon-Murphy, 36, of the 1300 block of N. Lorel Avenue, Chicago, in connection with continuing a financial criminal enterprise, online theft by deception, identity theft, in the 1600 block of Bordeaux Lane, Long Grove. Bond was set at $300,000 and a future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

• A warrant was obtained on June 21 for Jesus Morales, 35, of the 38200 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, in connection with aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery, in Beach Park.
• Jose A. Garcia-Velazquez, 29, of the 38700 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park, is accused of domestic battery, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence, and was arrested June 25 in Beach Park. Bond was set at $20,000 and a future court date of June 30 was assigned.
• Jonathan J. Mahoney, 46, of the 500 block of Bluff Street, Waukegan, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested June 26 in the 33400 block of N. Evergreen Drive, unincorporated Grayslake. Bond was set at $10,000 and a future court date of July 6 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Alyssa Kay Lewey, 27, of St. Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested June 21 in the 0-100 block of Lake Front Drive, unincorporated Zion. Bond was set at $3,000 and a future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.
• Vanessa N. Castrejon, 22, of the 200 block of E. Deerpath Road, Lake Forest, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested June 23 at Route 41 and Delany Road, Gurnee. Bond was set at $3,000 and a future court date of Aug. 3 was assigned.
• Servando Flores Ruvalacaba, 47, of the 11700 block of Tripp Avenue, Alsip, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested June 26 at Route 120 and Almond Road, unincorporated Grayslake. Bond was set at $3,000 and a future court date of Aug. 17.
• Andrey A. Puzanov, 29, of the 1300 block of W. Courtland St., Mundelein, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, endangering the welfare of a child, and was arrested June 26 at Routes 22 and 83, Long Grove. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Aug. 10 was assigned.
• Dora E. Cardenas, 55, of Hutto, Texas, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing and attempting to elude, and was arrested June 26 in the 3600 block of N. Spitz Drive, Waukegan. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Aug. 3 was assigned.
• Jerry J. Pierce, 65, of the 1800 block of Cedar Lake Road, Round Lake Beach, is accused of driving under the influence of drugs, and was arrested June 26 at I-94 and Grand Avenue, Gurnee. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Aug. 10 was assigned.
• Anthony Acosta, 19, of the 2400 block of Swanson Way, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended registration no insurance, and was arrested June 26 at Sheridan and Suddard roads, Beach Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of July 27 was assigned.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

• Shamia K. Loggins, 23, of the 7900 block of S. Woodlawn Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving while license suspended, and was arrested June 21 at Sheridan and Wadsworth roads, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Karina R. Kenyon, 18, of the 200 block of N. Hunt Club Road, Gurnee, had a warrant out of McHenry County for driving while license revoked, and was arrested June 23 in the 36000 block of N. Route 45, unincorporated Lake Villa.

BRINGING CONTRABAND INTO JAIL

A warrant was obtained and served to Peter J. Poulos, 43, of the 0-100 block of Open Parkway N., Hawthorn Woods, in connection with bringing contraband into Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $300,000 and a future court date of June 29 was assigned.

CONTEMPT OF COURT

Robert A. Sklare, 62, of the 1500 block of Madison Court, Buffalo Grove, had a warrant for contempt of court, and was arrested June 22 in the 0-100 block of N. County Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $9,690 and a court date of Aug. 4 was assigned.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

• Ricardo Martinez-Hurtado, 49, of the 19700 block of W. West Shore Drive, unincorporated Mundelein, had a warrant for violation of an order of protection, and was arrested June 24 in unincorporated Mundelein.
• Edwin Jimenez-Catalan, 22, of the 0-100 block of Old Willow Road, Prospect Heights, is accused of violation of an order of protection, and was arrested June 24 in the 23200 block of N. Apple Hill Lane, unincorporated Lincolnshire. Bond was set at $20,000 and a future court date of June 29.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Arnoldo Aguilar, 41, of the 41400 block of Route 41, Wadsworth, is accused of criminal damage to property, trespassing, and was arrested June 24 in the 38500 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. Bond was set at $10,000 and a future court date of July 11 was assigned.

VIOLATION OF A NO CONTACT ORDER

Michele R. Gray, 35, of the 27700 block of Walnut Drive, Island Lake, is accused of violation of a no contact order, and was arrested June 25 in Island Lake. Bond was set at $25,000 and a future court date of July 6.
