Burglar Steals Safe After Forced Entry Into Residence: Blotter
Police are investigating a burglary at a residence where jewelry and a safe were among the items stolen: Riverwoods Blotter.

RIVERWOODS, IL — The following information comes from the Riverwoods Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

- Eneida Gutierrez-Ramirez, 34, of the 900 block of March Street, Lake Zurich, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, speeding, and was arrested at 1:08 a.m. Sept. 12 following a traffic stop on Milwaukee Avenue, north of Aptikisic Road. She was released on a $3,000 bond, and assigned a court date of Oct. 21.
- Stefan Leca, 33, of the 600 block of Timberlane Drive, Boilingbrook, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested at 2 a.m. Sept. 13 following a traffic top on Lake Cook Road, near Portwine Road. He was released on a $3,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 21 in Waukegan.
- Rodolfo Reyes-Cruz, 44, of the 2400 block of S Sacramento, Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, no valid driver's license, and was arrested at 10:42 p.m. Aug. 26 following a traffic stop at Lake Cook Road and Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on a $3,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 23 in Waukegan.

BURGLARY
- A resident on Deepwood Trail reported at 7:46 p.m. Sept. 15 that earlier in the day at around 3 p.m. someone made entry to the residence by forcing a door with an unknown tool or instrument. Taken was miscellaneous jewelry and a safe. The safe contained money, coins and miscellaneous gift cards. An investigation continues.
- Police responded to Baneberry Drive at 6:40 p.m. Sept. 1 for a report of a residential burglary. At some time after 9 a.m. an unknown person made entry to the residence after breaking a ground level window. Once inside they removed a desktop computer, two iPads, two PowerBook laptop computers and a check book. An investigation continues.
THEFT

Police responded to the 2200 block of Deerfield Road at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 31 to take a report of the theft of a motor scooter parked outside of a repair garage. The theft occurred sometime overnight. The scooter was valued at $500.
