Until her untimely death in June of 2023, Maureen Wener was a dedicated volunteer in multiple Deerfield organizations. She was a member and later President of the Deerfield Public Library Board, a board member and Secretary of the District 109 School Board and the Treasurer of the West Deerfield Township Democratic Organization for many years. She was a role model of public service.
Maureen’s spirit of public service continues through the actions of many of our residents. Wishing to acknowledge such dedication to public service and honor Maureen’s memory, the West Deerfield Township Democratic Organization has established this award.
The award will be presented to the winning community member on October 18th at the Deerfield Public Library. Please join us to honor Maureen and celebrate this year's winner.
