The Center for Enriched Living Announces Dan Ripes as Board President

Dan Ripes has becomes the president of CEL's board of directors

The Center for Enriched Living (CEL), a non-profit organization in north suburban Riverwoods announces Dan Ripes, Vice President, Partnerships at Rise Interactive of Highland Park, as the board president for a two-year term.

“I joined the board because I saw the need for services for people with developmental disabilities and I wanted to make a difference,” incoming board president, Dan Ripes says. “That passion to make a difference has driven me throughout my time on the board and will continue to push me as we move forward.”

Ripes’ term started July 1st with Kim Cysewski of Lincolnshire, retired, and Stephanie Slatkin of Long Grove, Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, of Brake Parts Inc., as Vice Presidents on the Executive Committee.

Rounding out the Executive Committee are:

Treasurer, Angela McKeirnan of Tower Lakes; Secretary, Ira Singer of Deerfield, Managing Member and Secretary of Mosiac Construction; and Immediate Past President, Shea Hart of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Director of Product and Partner Management at CDW.

Elizabeth Crandall of Barrington, owner of Extended Home Living Service, and Vaughn Moore, of St. Charles, President & CEO, AIT Worldwide Logistics, begin their first term as CEL board members. “I am proud to join the CEL board and I will use my position to advocate for those among us whose voices are not heard,” Moore said.

The entire board was recognized and introduced at CEL’s Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 15.

“We’re pleased to add these dynamic individuals to our team and look forward to the energy they will bring to our team of leaders,” said Executive Director, Harriet Levy. “Our board truly gives tirelessly as they keep us moving forward on our strategic initiatives.”
