The Center for Enriched Living's 20th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Hits a Hole in One!
Record-breaking year raised $390K to enrich the lives of people w/ developmental disabilities through social, art and recreational programs
The Center for Enriched Living’s (CEL) 20th Annual Charity Golf Tournament had another record-breaking year, raising $390,000, and bringing more than 200 golfers to the Ivanhoe Club on Monday, August 10. Each year the event raises awareness of CEL, a privately funded non-profit that provides a community of friends and a world of opportunities for more than 450 Chicagoland people of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.
For the seventh year in a row, HP has been the title sponsor of the event. “Our partnership with HP has been invaluable and we are extremely grateful for their ongoing support,” says Randi Frank, Director of Development at CEL. “They truly showcase their corporate values of supporting inclusion and diversity, both values that align with CEL.” Additional sponsors included Arrow, Avent, Skender, Adobe, Lenovo, Samsung and VMware with more than 40 other sponsors.
Despite the rain, golfers enjoyed a few holes of golf, a cocktail reception and live auction where a foursome with Chicago Bulls legend, Toni Kukoc was a big draw. “We know that the golfers are here to golf, but we hope that as they learn more about CEL they will want to make an even greater impact for our members,” Frank continued.

“We appreciate the support we receive from our sponsors and golfers, all of which impacts the quality of life for people of all ages with developmental disabilities. Proceeds from this event are used to enrich their lives with social, arts, community and skill-building programs,” adds Harriet Levy, Executive Director of CEL.
