CF Industries Makes $6 Billion Acquisition
Combining with a Netherlands company will make CF one of the largest nitrogen fertilizer in the world.
A Deerfield-based company made a deal this week that will make them one of the largest nitrogen fertilizer companies in the world.
CF Industries closed on a $6 billion deal to acquire Netherlands-based OCI N.V. this week, according to the Daily Herald.
CF will get OCI’s nitrogen operations in the Netherlands, Iowa and a complex in Texas in addition to their distribution system in India.

Upon completion of the deal, CF shareholders will own about 72.3 percent of the new company and OCI will own about 27.7 percent.
