Chamber Members Donate Tents to Chicago's Homeless

Effort raises thousands to help homeless with tents, sleeping bags and winter clothing items.

A group involving members from both North Shore chambers was led by Dan and Marla Gelfond, who spearheaded a GoFundMe effort that raised $3,200 to help the homeless, according to a Chicago Tribune article.

The group began delivering tents, sleeping bags and other items identified by the homeless and what is needed the most on Lower Wacker Drive and then hit up other streets on Dec. 11 and Dec. 24.
