BANNOCKBURN, IL — The name of a child who drowned in a residential indoor pool Monday afternoon has been released. An autopsy for Noah Probst, 1 year and 10 months, of Peotone, was conducted Tuesday by the Lake County Coroner's Office, with results indicating his death was consistent with drowning.
At around 2 p.m. Monday, the Deerfield-Bannockburn Fire Protection District and Bannockburn Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Half Day Road for a report of a drowning in a residential indoor pool. Emergency crews arrived and began trying to resuscitate the child, who had been pulled from the pool, and who was unconscious and not breathing.
