Deerfield's Bien Interns For Lake County State's Attorney's Office
Daniel Bien, of Deerfield, interned for the Lake County State's Attorney's Office during the summer of 2020.
Bien, a member of Knox College's class of 2022, majors in Political Science and Environmental Studies and is a member of Phi Gamma Delta, Pre-Law Club, and a saxophonist for the Knox Jazz Ensemble.
Of the internship, Bien said, "Interns have the opportunity to go on investigations, visit jails, visit the coroner's office, help develop cases for prosecutors, listen to court cases, visit the Juvenile Detention Center, and visit the Lake County State's Attorney's Office Children's Advocacy Center. Depending on the task you are assigned to, your assignment could take a day or maybe two weeks, and then you'll get a new assignment, so I would say the work is very versatile."
