Cop On A Rooftop 2022: Where To Find Officers In Deerfield

Friday's event at a local Dunkin' Donuts location benefits Special Olympics athletes in Illinois.

DEERFIELD, IL — Officers from the Deerfield Police Department will be staking out the rooftop of a local Dunkin' Donuts location Friday as part of the 19th annual Cop on a Rooftop event. Money is being raised for the Law Enforcement Torch Run and will benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

Local officers can be spotted from 5 a.m. to noon atop Dunkin' Donuts at 499 Lake Cook Road in Deerfield.

According to the event's website, the partnership between local law enforcement and Dunkin' has been a "huge success over the years" with more than $6.7 million raised in Illinois. Last year, $870,000 was raised for Special Olympics Illinois across 283 locations. Organizers are hoping to top $900,000 in 2022.

Each guest who makes a donation to the Torch Run will receive a coupon for a free donut. Guests who donate $10 or more will receive a LETR/ Dunkin’ branded travel mug (while supplies last) and a coupon for a free medium hot coffee.
