Deerfield Business Expands Into Chicago

Corporate tax software provider Corptax opened its newest office in the city last week.

Deerfield-based Corptax, a leading provider of corporate tax software, has opened in new office in Chicago.

“Chicago has tremendous energy,” said Dave Shea, Corptax President. “It’s a great city with top talent and that made it an easy decision for us to open an office here,” said Dave Shea, Corptax President. “We are excited to be in the city and expect our presence to grow here over time.”

According to a news release, for technology companies, Chicago offers “great recruiting and development opportunities.”

“The Midwestern hub was recently recognized by a CBRE study as one of the fastest growing cities in technology.”

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel praised the expansion of Corptax, which also has offices in Plano, Texas and Woodland Hills, California.

“Corptax’s decision to locate its newest office and grow in Chicago is a testament to the depth of talent in our city’s workforce and the opportunities the company can leverage within our diverse business community to expand its client base,” said Emanuel. “Companies like this mean more jobs available for Chicago residents and a stronger economy for our city.”

About 50 people will work in the Chicago office. The company states they will be “actively hiring” for programming and technology positions to fill out its Chicago staff.
