Deerfield Couple Will Be on Wheel of Fortune

Deerfield residents Joel and Dana Freedman of Deerfield will be contestants on the Wheel of Fortune episode set to air on Friday, May 1.

Joel, a business analyst and Dana, a finance manager already competed in the in the show that has yet to air.

While the total amount of their winnings can’t be made public until the show airs at 6:30 p.m. Friday on WLS-TV, the couple hope to use their winnings to take a family vacation to Hawaii.

“Though, Dana admits that their eight year old son would be happy with an Xbox,” a Monday news release stated.

Huge fans of “Wheel,” Joel and Dana have been watching since they were kids and now enjoy watching the show together. They applied to be contestants online.

The Deerfield couple’s appearance on the decades-old popular show headlined by Pat Sajak and Vanna White will come during “Show Your Disney Side” week.

This week, the famous “Wheel of Fortune” set has been transformed to represent the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle and Cinderella Castle. Disney-loving contestants solve some clever Disney-themed puzzles as they compete for dream vacations and Sajak and White reveal their own Disney Sides throughout the week with experiences taped at the Disney Parks.
