4 New Members Join Local School, Library Boards In Deerfield

Races in District 113 and Deerfield Public Library were contested, but village and elementary school district boards were not

DEERFIELD, IL — Voters in Deerfield chose among seven candidates for the Township High School District 113 Board and three running for the Deerfield Public Library Board of Trustees. Five people, including two incumbents, ran for four full, four-year terms on the District 113 board. Two more, including another incumbent, competed for an unexpired two-year term. In the library board race, two incumbents were challenged by a single newcomer.

On the library board, incumbent Michael Goldberg retained his spot as trustee, but only eight votes separated Jordan Parker and Howard Handler for the remaining seat, according to unofficial results.
