Deerfield Family To Star in YouTube Family Series

Wendy and Mike Gabel of Deerfield - along with their six daughters - were selected as one of only a few families nationwide selected to be featured as part of “Welcome to the Family Video Series,” a YouTube reality show documenting family life with a new baby, according to the Deerfield Review.

The series will air for 14 consecutive weeks beginning in June.

The Gabels qualified because their youngest girl, Callie, is only seven months old and the selection was limited to families with youngsters of 20 months or less.

Wendy and Mike’s other daughters are Tiana, 13, Jackie, 11, Ellie, 9, Mia, 7 and Kate, 5.

Mike Gabel told the Review his family will be engineering the content and that no camera crew will be at the home following their every move.

The Gabels will submit one five-minute video each week for 14 weeks showing “the ins and outs, the good and the bad,” according to Wendy.

“It’s an opportunity to document our kids on film,” she said. “It’s a chance to help anyone else for what may be taxing or helpful in their situations.”

As winners, the Gabels receive more than $2,000 worth of baby products, an iPad which they are expected to use to make the videos and a $5,000 savings bond for Callie.
