Deerfield Football Wins Double-Overtime Thriller, Will Head To Playoffs

DES PLAINES, IL — The Warriors were victorious in a one-point road upset to move up to a tie for the top spot in CSL North. Deerfield defeated Maine West in a three-hour, double-overtime thriller that ended with the visitors stopping a two-point conversion to take the win, 31-30. The Warriors finished the regular season 5-4 overall and 4-1 in conference play, tying Highland Park and Maine West and clinching a playoff berth.

The Warriors soon will learn who they will travel to play next week, you can watch the Illinois High School Association Football Pairing Show online or on NBC Sports Chicago starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
