Deerfield Obituary: Amelia Galvan Alba

Amelia Galvan Alba, formerly of Deerfield, passed away on February 18, 2016 in her hometown Apaseo el Alto, Guanajuato, Mexico. Amelia was born February 8, 1935. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Amelia was a devout catholic, and loved spending time with her family. Her passion was planting beautiful flowers. Amelia is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years Eduardo Alba. Loving mother of Antonio (Ana), Francisco (Graciela), Jose, Hector (the late Renata), Saul, Lourdes, Alfredo (Rachel), Javier (Chryssy), Beatris, Eduardo Jr (Janine) and the late Guadalupe. Cherished grandmother of Maria Guadalupe, Anamaria, Antonio Jr, Francisco Jr, Alejandra, Adrianna, Cristina, Kyle, Samantha, Sergio, Vanessa, Marco, Nikko, Lisa, Sonia, Claudia, Alberto, Averie, and late grandson Christopher, and great grandmother of Amarillys, Natalia, Anais, Jayden, Tatiana, Cristian, Isaac, Jazmin, Nickolas, Ava, Ariani, Milanny, Izaiah, and Alexander. Siblings Uriel, Carmen, y Rosaura and aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Bacilides Galvan and Maria del Refugio. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 4-8 pm at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Rd. Highland Park, IL. A funeral mass will be held on February, 26, 2016 10:00 am at Holy Cross Church, 724 Elder Lane, Deerfield, IL. Interment Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
