Deerfield Obituary: Erwin Plofsky, 82

Erwin Plofsky, age 82, beloved husband of the late Reva, nee Cohen. Cherished father of Joel (Tammy) Plofsky, Dr. Matthew (Brooke) Plofsky, David (Cindy) Plofsky and Daniel (Rachel) Plofsky. Proud and loving Zayde of Harris, Stephan, Travis, Talia, Dina, Micah, Jeremy, Shael, Eli, Ava and Reese. Dearest brother of the late Sidney (Ida) Plofsky and Annette Plofsky. Dear uncle, cousin and friend to many. A long-time resident of Deerfield, Erwin lived life to the fullest helping raise four wonderful sons and being actively involved with his eleven grandchildren. His sons will always remember their road trips across America with Mom and Dad. Erwin was involved in his community, volunteering at the Chicago Botanic Gardens and ushering with the Saints. He was a hardworking individual dedicated to his job, his values and his Jewish upbringing. Service Sunday 12:00 Noon at Congregation B’nai Tikvah, 1558 N. Wilmot, Deerfield. IL 60015.
