April 19, 1949 – March 23, 2015

Erwin W. Eckert, 65, of Deerfield, IL passed away suddenly on March 23, 2015 after a brief battle with illness. He was a beloved husband and father, an Army soldier during the Vietnam War, and a business owner, who rose out of childhood poverty in post-World War II Europe with his late mother, Cecilie Eckert Lesner, to achieve their American dream in the USA. He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Barbara; his daughter, Kristen (Armando Elizondo Quiroga); and his son, Michael. A memorial mass will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10:00 am at Holy Cross Church, 724 Elder Ln. Deerfield, IL.
