DEERFIELD, IL — The Deerfield Police Department invites residents to attend the first Community Roll Call Wednesday, June 29, at Jaycee Park. The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
At the start of each tour of duty, police officers report for a roll call briefing. This meeting is held to share information from one shift to the next and consists of an overview of emerging trends and calls for service from the last 24 hours. These may include traffic issues and concerns or crime trends. Assignments and areas of patrol are also discussed.
Residents and families are encouraged to attend their Community Roll Call to learn important crime prevention information, safety tips, and meet the patrol officers who serve their community. In addition, police encourage Deerfield residents to discuss local issues and matters of concern with officers. Following the presentation by officers, there will be an opportunity for residents to ask questions. The police department is encouraging residents to ask their neighbors to attend.
