Deerfield Spa Robber Buys Sandwich Next Door: Police
After demanding money from a Deerfield Square salon, police said a man with an unspecified weapon purchased a sandwich from Potbelly.

DEERFIELD, IL — Police are investigating a report of an armed robbery Tuesday evening at Deerfield Square. A man walked into Elizabeth Arden's Red Door Spa, 720 N. Waukegan Rd., around 6:30 p.m. and demanded money, Deerfield police said. Witnesses were not sure what type of weapon was shown or used in the course of the robbery.
The robber then walked across the parking lot of the shopping plaza into the Potbelly sandwich shop, police said. He then bought a sandwich.
The suspect was described as a 5-foot, 8-inch, 180-pound white man with thick freckles "similar to skin tags" on his face. He had a thin goatee and spoke with a lisp, according to Deerfield police.

Police did not say how much he stole from the spa or spent at the sandwich shop.

Deerfield Police asked anyone with information about the incident or the suspect pictured above to call 847-945-8636 and ask for investigations.
