Deerfield Youth Travel Baseball Team Takes Field with DHS Varsity
Deerfield Varsity Baseball coach Kevin Marsh hosted the Deerfield Warriors (DYBA) Travel Baseball program on Monday, May 4 at DHS for a game
The Deerfield Warriors High School varsity baseball team played host to the Deerfield Warriors (DYBA) Travel Baseball program earlier this week. The DYBA travel players were introduced and presented for photographs with the team. The 14 year old team had the honor of being announced with the varsity team and throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.
Each year, DHS Varsity Coach Kevin Marsh collaborates with DYBA leaders to plan this Appreciation Day event. Approximately 75 players, ranging from 9U to 14U, attended the game, and Coach Marsh, Assistant Coach Steve Brown, and the entire varsity roster personally welcomed them all.
As the officially recognized feeder program for Deerfield High School, DYBA maintains close ties with DHS coaches and its teams. This experience always proves to be one the younger players will not soon forget.
