• Instacart driver punched in the face repeatedly, left injured during unprovoked attack in Deerfield (lakemchenryscanner.com) — An Instacart driver was allegedly punched repeatedly at Deerfield and Oxford roads in what police say was an unprovoked roadside attack, leading to misdemeanor battery and property damage charges. The accused, a Deerfield resident already on pre-trial release in another Deerfield case, is now jailed in Lake County while the court evaluates his fitness for trial and considers revoking his release.
