DHS Sophomore Wins Bronze In France

DEERFIELD, IL — Deerfield High School sophomore Connie Du won a bronze medal as part of the US Olympic Rhythmic Gymnastics team last month. The national team was recently reorganized after the Rio Olympics and has begun a schedule of international competitions between March and May. Virginia-born Du and the rest of the US team placed third at the Grand Pirix of Thiais in France, which took place March 23 through 27.

The team is scheduled to compete at the Pesaro World Cup in Italy April 5 through 10. Check out a video of one of the team's routines:
