Driver Crashes Into Deerfield Driver's License Facility

An 87-year-old man taking his driving exam crashed his car into the driver’s licence facility at 405 Lake Cook Road in Deerfield on Wednesday.

No one was injured in the incident, which officials said occurred around noon and caused some damage to the building that will be repaired immediately, according to the Chicago Tribune.

A spokesperson for the Secretary of State told the Tribune the man, who was in the car with the examiner, stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake and hit a post and a number of signs.

No tickets were issued.
