Driver Leaves Injured People At Crash: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

ESCAPE

Allen V. Jefferson, 24, of the 1800 block of Morrow Avenue, North Chicago, is accused of escape, and was arrested Jan. 13 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report. A court date of Feb. 4 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Mia Isabel Dela Riva, 24, of the 0-100 block of E. Clarendon Street, Prospect Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper transportation of cannabis, and was arrested Jan. 13 at Long Grove and Quentin roads, Deer Park. She was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 10.
• Veronica V. Lazano, 40, of the 2600 block of N. Orchard Lane, Round Lake Beach, had a warrant for DUI, and was arrested Jan. 16 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. She was released and a future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.
• Luis A. Colon, 40, of the 1100 block of Quincy Avenue, Johnsburg, is accused of DUI alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, speeding (76 mph in a 45 mph zone), and was arrested Jan. 17 at Route 176 and St. Mary's Road, Green Oaks. He was released and assigned a court date of March 5.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Sheri M. Slough, 38, of the 800 block of S. Golfview Place, Mount Prospect, had a warrant for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and was arrested Jan. 13 at Route 120 and Hainesville Road, Hainesville. She was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 13.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

Brandon M. Tiedel, 43, of the 20800 block of Siena Drive, unincorporated Lake Villa, is accused of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, improper transportation of cannabis, no insurance, and was arrested Jan. 14 at Route 45 and Rollins Road, unincorporated Gurnee. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 26.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF STOLEN CREDIT CARDS

• Jeffrey R. Tarpen, 39, of the 25600 block of W. Arcade Drive, unincorporated Lake Villa, is accused of unlawful possession of stolen credit cards, identity theft, deceptive practices, unlawful possession of a fraudulent ID card, and was arrested Jan. 14 at Routes 21 and 137, Libertyville. He was being detained at Lake County Jail at the time of the report. He was assigned a court date of Feb. 4.

Allison J. Kostokas, 28, of the 25600 block of W. Arcade Drive, unincorporated Lake Villa, is accused of unlawful possession of a fraudulent ID card, deceptive practices, and was arrested Jan. 14 at Routes 21 and Route 137, Libertyville. She was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 11.

CONTEMPT OF COURT

Gwendolyn Thompson, 34, of the 4400 block of W. Lawn Avenue, Waukegan, had a warrant for contempt of court, and was arrested Jan. 15 at Midlothian Road and Hawley Street, Mundelein. She was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report. A court date of Feb. 3 was assigned.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO A PEACE OFFICER

Raymond Smith, 46, of the 2300 block of Gabriel Avenue, Zion, is accused of aggravated battery to a correctional officer, resisting a correctional officer causing injury, and was arrested Jan. 16 at the Lake County Jail. He was being detained at the Lake County Jail at the time of the report. A court date of Feb. 11 was assigned.

LEAVING THE SCENE OF A CRASH WITH INJURIES

Marco A. Morales, 53, of the 900 block of Cummings Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of leaving the scene of a traffic crash with injuries, failure to report a crash with injuries, and was arrested Jan. 18 in the 100 block of N. O'Plaine Road, unincorporated Gurnee. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report. A court date of Jan. 21 was assigned.
