Drunken Driver Clocked At 107 MPH: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS

FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEXUAL OFFENDER

Michael G. Malombo, 41, of the 38500 block of N. Green Bay Road, Beach Park, had a warrant for failure to register as a sexual offender, and was arrested June 27 in the 12700 block of W. Bonnie Brook Lane, Beach Park. Bond was set at $250,000 and a court date of July 5 was assigned.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Two juveniles are accused of criminal damage to property, criminal trespass to property, and was arrested June 28 in the 38400 block of N. 8th Street, unincorporated Spring Grove.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

• Steven J. Sautter, 57, of the 0-100 block of Mineola Road, Fox Lake, is accused of violation of an order of protection, misuse of 911, driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested June 28 in the 33700 block of N. Wilson Road, Ingleside. Bond was set at $35,000 and a court date of July 6 was assigned.
• Eduardo Diaz, 30, of the 900 block of S. Forest Avenue, Waukegan, had a warrant for violation of an order of protection, and was arrested June 29 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $250,000 and a court date of July 20 was assigned.
• Zion Sung, 29, of the 2500 block of Deerfield Road, Riverwoods, had a warrant out of DeKalb County for violation of order of protection, and was arrested July 1 in Riverwoods. There was no bond and Sung was released into the custody of the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.

ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD A DRUG SCREEN TEST

Rebecca A. Estes, 45, of the 100 block of Scenic Road, Fox Lake, is accused of attempting to defraud a drug screen test, and was arrested June 29 in the 200 block of W. Water Street, Waukegan. Bond was set at $100,000 and a court date of July 6 was assigned.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED/SUSPENDED

• Coleten R. Hanson, 26, of the 1200 block of Kathleen Court, Antioch, is accused of driving while license revoked, aggravated speeding (82 mph in a 45 mph zone), open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested June 29 at Route 45 and Route 173, Old Mill Creek. Bond was set at $1,500.
• Ira J. Wright, IV, 19, of the 300 block of Center Drive, Vernon Hills, had a warrant for driving while license revoked, and was arrested June 29 in Vernon Hills. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of July 18 was assigned.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Donald R. Cozzie, 57, of the 1400 block of Baroque Avenue, Volo, is accused of disorderly conduct, assault, resisting arrest, and was arrested June 29 in Volo. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of July 27 was assigned.

UNDERAGE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL

Micaila L. Kline, 18, of the 34100 block of N. Wineberry Lane, unincorporated Round Lake, is accused of underage consumption of alcohol, and was arrested June 30, in unincorporated Round Lake. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of July 25 was assigned.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Kevin Stearns, Jr., 34, of the 400 block of E. Oakwood Drive, Barrington, is accused of aggravated domestic battery, had a warrant out of DuPage County for domestic battery, and was arrested June 30 at Whitney Road and Main Street, Lake Zurich. Bond was set at $25,000 and a court date of July 26 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Shannon R. Ferdina, 27, of the 1100 block of Otto Graham, Beach Park, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding (107 mph in a 40 mph zone), and was arrested June 30 at Sheridan Road and Greenwood Avenue, Waukegan. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Ag. 3 was assigned.
• Alexander W. Davis, Jr., 37, of the 14900 block of Russell Road, unincorporated Zion, is accused of driving under the alcohol, aggravated speeding (83 mph in a 50 mph zone), and was arrested July 1 at Route 173 and Kilbourne Road, Wadsworth. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Aug. 10 was assigned.
• Cameron D. Burnett, 37, of the 300 block of Candlewood Trail, Cary, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, and was arrested July 2 at Route 176 and Gilmer Road, unincorporated Mundelein. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of July 19 was assigned.
• Gabriel A. Gutierrez-Chumpitazi, 22, of the 10300 block of W. Waldo Avenue, Beach Park, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance, and was arrested July 2 at Wadsworth and Green Bay roads, Beach Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of Aug. 17 was assigned.
• Miguel A. Lopez-Lopez, 35, of the 200 block of Marlene Court, Wauconda, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested July 3 at Route 134 and Fairfield Road, Round Lake. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of July 27 was assigned.

BATTERY

• Bradford C. Goar, 47, of the 21600 block of W. Elm Street, unincorporated Lake Villa, is accused of battery, and was arrested July 1 in unincorporated Lake Villa. Bond was set at $20,000 and a court date of July 18 was assigned.
• Vitaliy Sergiyenko, 53, of the 2000 block of N. Masters Lane, Lake Villa, is accused of aggravated battery, and was arrested July 3 in the 1600 block of Checker Road, Long Grove. Bond was set at $35,000 and a court date of Aug. 16 was assigned.

PAROLE VIOLATION

Amber N. Knowles, 30, of the 31200 block of N. Route 45, unincorporated Grayslake, had a warrant for a parole violation from the Illinois Department of Corrections, obstructing identification, and was arrested July 3 at Route 45 and Casey Road, unincorporated Grayslake. There was no bond and Knowles was released into the custody of the IDOC.
