Drunken Driver Leaves Accident Scene: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

The 42-year-old unincorporated Gurnee resident is due back in court next month, according to police.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Julie M. Rejczyk, 51, of the 33600 block of N. Idlewild Drive, unincorporated Grayslake, had a warrant for burglary, and was arrested Jan. 26 in the 33600 block of N. Idlewild Drive, unincoirporated Grayslake. She was released and assigned a court date of March 3.

Autumn R. Nielsen, 25, of the 1200 block of Red Oak Lane, Round Lake Beach, is accused of having no driver's license, suspended registration, no insurance, and was arrested Jan. 26 at Millburn and Crawford roads, Old Mill Creek. She was released following her arrest.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Justin Esser, 42, of the 17100 block of W. Tiger Trail Court, unincorporated Gurnee, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, and was arrested Jan. 26 in the 17100 block of W. Tiger Trail Court unincorporated Gurnee. He was released and assigned a court date of March 4.

AGGRAVATED FLEEING TO ELUDE

Marco A. Sajuan, 39, of the 2100 block of Castle Court, Waukegan, had a warrant for aggravated fleeing to elude, along with new charges of driving while license suspended, no insurance, open transportation of alcohol, obstructing identification, unlawful display of a stolen license plate, and was arrested Jan. 26 in the 42800 block of N. Delany Road, unincorporated Zion. He was being detained in the Lake County Jail at the time of the report. A court date of Feb. 9 was assigned.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED

  • Adam A. Schaf, 50, of the 200 block of Clear View Court, Lake Zurich, had a warrant out of Kane County for driving while license suspended, and was arrested Jan. 28 in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan. A future court date in Kane County was to be determined at the time of the report.
  • Laurinda M. Ahrens, 55, of the 400 block of Park Lane, Barrington, is accused of aggravated driving while license revoked, and was arrested Jan. 29 at Lake Cook and Quentin roads, Deer Park. She was released and assigned a court date of March 9.
  • Lorenzo Becerra, 25, of the 100 block of Sumac Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving while license revoked, suspended registration, no insurance, and was arrested Jan. 29 at Wadsworth Road and Caroline Avenue, Wadsworth. He was released following his arrest.

VIOLATING A COURT ORDER

Alec M. Turner Cretan, 31, of the 37400 block of N. Granada Boulevard, unincorporated Lake Villa, had a warrant for violating a court order, and was arrested Jan. 28 in the 2600 block of Route 83, Round Lake Beach. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 18.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Zion M. Hayden, 26, of Indianapolis, Indiana, is accused of disorderly conduct, battery, resisting arrest, and was arrested Jan. 28 in the 39000 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of March 4.

ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON

Daniel Corona, 29, of the 2200 block of Winnebago Road, Waukegan, is accused of attempted unlawful possession of a weapon, no driver's license, and was arrested Jan. 28 at Lewis Avenue and Yorkhouse Road, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 18.

THEFT

Harold L. Wilbourn, Jr., 36, no permanent address, had a warrant for theft, and was arrested Jan. 28 in the 17100 block of W. Cunningham Court, unincorporated Libertyville. He was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 17.

BATTERY

  • Brittany Walker, 29, of the 200 block of Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, had a warrant for aggravated battery, and was arrested Jan. 29 in the 0-100 block of N. County Street, Waukegan. She was released and assigned a court date of March 12.
  • Carl M. Reeves, 38, of the 1000 block of Sheridan Road, Winthrop Harbor, had a warrant for battery, and was arrested Jan. 31 at Sheridan and Beach roads, Beach Park. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 28, 2027.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Ryan L. Kukla, 27, of the 11700 block of W. 33rd Street, Beach Park, is accused of criminal damage to property, domestic battery, and was arrested Jan. 30. He was released following his arrest and assigned a court date of Feb. 2.
