DUI Causing Death Warrant Arrest Made: Lake County Sheriff's Blotter

ARRESTS

THEFT

• A warrant was obtained for Nicholas C. Svoboda, 29, of the 900 block of Bodin Street, Hinsdale, for theft on Feb. 27 in the 37600 block of Route 59, unincorporated Lake Villa. Bond was set at $250,000 and a future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.
• A warrant was obtained on March 2 for Philip A. Fatigato, 29, of the 1600 block of E. Oakton Street, Des Plaines, for theft over $10,000 in the 28500 block of Roberts Road, Port Barrington. Bond was set at $250,000 and a future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.

ENDANGERING THE LIFE/WELFARE OF A CHILD

A warrant was obtained for Latasha W. Cunningham, 48, of the 12800 block of W. Wakefield Drive, Beach Park, for endangering the life/welfare of a child on Feb. 27 in the 12800 block of W. Wakefield Drive, Beach Park. Bond was set at $25,000 and a future court date was to be determined at the time of the report.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Ruben A. Pena, Jr., 49, of the 4200 block of Tallgrass Court, Zion, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, open transportation of alcohol, and was arrested Feb. 27 at 29th Street and Lewis Avenue, Beach Park. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of April 15 was assigned.
• Bruce Oldenburg, 50, of the 31200 block of N. Route 45, unincorporated Libertyville, had a warrant out of Cook County for driving under the influence causing death, and was arrested Feb. 27 in the 31200 block of N. Route 45, unincorporated Libertyville. Bond was set at $100,000 and a future court date in Cook County was to be determined at the time of the report.
• Jason M. Perkins, 44, of Akron, Ohio, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated speeding (70 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested Feb. 28 at 19th Street and Joppa Avenue, Zion. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 22 was assigned.
• Levi J. Cervantes, 30, of the 600 block of Lorraine Avenue, Waukegan, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, transportation of alcohol, and was arrested March 2 at Route 41 and Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of March 22 was assigned.
• Christopher A. Hay, 45, of the 24900 block of N. Garland Road, unincorporated Wauconda, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, and was arrested March 5 in the 24900 block of N. Garland Road, unincorporated Wauconda. Bond was set at $3,000 and a court date of April 12 was assigned.

BATTERY

Kamari D. Dye, 20, no permanent address, is accused of battery, disorderly conduct, and was arrested Feb. 28 in the 39000 block of N. Sheridan Road, Beach Park. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of April 19 was assigned.

VIOLATING AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Brian W. Stedronsky, 42, of the 20900 block of W. Verona Avenue, unincorporated Lake Villa, had a warrant for violating an order of protection, and was arrested March 1 in the 20900 block of W. Verona Avenue, unincorporated Lake Villa. Bond was set at $35,000 and a court date of March 24 was assigned.

PUBLIC INDECENCY

Charles Suurmeier, 64, of the 100 block of Forest View Drive, unincorporated Lake Bluff, is accused of public indecency, disorderly conduct, and was arrested March 2 in the 100 block of Forest View Drive, unincorporated Lake Bluff. Bond was set at $1,500 and a court date of March 22 was assigned.
