DUI, Drug Charges In Unincorporated Deerfield: Lake County Blotter

LAKE COUNTY, IL — A Buffalo Grove man arrested on DUI and controlled substance charges in unincorporated Deerfield was among those included in the Lake County Sheriff’s Office’s latest weekly arrest summary.

The report covered Oct. 12 through Oct. 18 and included the following arrests across Lake County.

As with any arrest press release, Sheriff Idleburg reminds the community these are alleged criminal charges, and those named in the release have not yet been convicted. All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

DUI, CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Matthew R. Sturgeon, 48, of the 900 block of Westbourne Lane, Buffalo Grove, was arrested Oct. 17, in the 1300 block of North Inverrary Lane, unincorporated Deerfield, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of a controlled substance. He was released pending trial. A court date was listed for 8:45 a.m. Nov. 2, in courtroom C207.

RETAIL THEFT, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

Brandon C. Robinson, 39, with no permanent address, was arrested Oct. 12, in the 39100 block of North Sheridan Road, Beach Park, on charges of retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending trial. A court date was listed for 8:45 a.m. Nov. 4, in courtroom C207.

THEFT OF SERVICES WARRANT

Gabriel A. Martinez-Arena, 26, of the 1000 block of Flossmoor Avenue, Waukegan, was arrested Oct. 13, in the 17800 block of West Elsbury Street, unincorporated Gurnee, on a warrant for theft of services. His detention status and court date were listed as to be determined.

DOMESTIC BATTERY WARRANT

Patrick L. Strom, 65, of the 5200 block of Beechwood Avenue, Gurnee, was arrested Oct. 13, in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan, on a warrant for domestic battery. He was released pending trial. A court date was listed for 9 a.m. Oct. 29, in courtroom T511.

NO DRIVER’S LICENSE

Felipe De Jesus Huizar Tiznado, 41, of the 1100 block of Villa Vista Drive, Round Lake Beach, was arrested Oct. 13, at Route 45 and Washington Street, Third Lake, on a charge of driving without a driver’s license. He was released pending trial. The summary listed branch court without a date.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE WARRANT

Adolph F. Brown Jr., 31, of the 6000 block of 25th Avenue, Kenosha, Wisconsin, was arrested Oct. 14, in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan, on a fugitive from justice warrant. His detention status and court date were listed as to be determined.

RETAIL THEFT WARRANT

Michael A. Calvert, 48, of the 2300 block of Barrett Drive, North Chicago, was arrested Oct. 14, in the 300 block of Washington Street, Waukegan, on a warrant for retail theft. He was released pending trial. A court date was listed for 9 a.m. Oct. 20, in courtroom T020.

SEX OFFENDER REPORTING

Mario Montes De Oca, 72, of the 38300 block of North Chicago Avenue, Wadsworth, was arrested Oct. 14, in that block on a charge of failure to annually report as a sex offender. He was released pending trial. A court date was listed for 9 a.m. Nov. 12, in courtroom T020.
