Gym Owner Concerned About Possible Pot Dispensary Next Door
Owner of CrossFit gym worried some may break into his business trying to get the product next door.

A Deerfield business owner has expressed concerns regarding a proposed medical marijuana dispensary to be located next door to his business at 151 Pfingsten Road.
Steve Woodall, owner of CrossFit gym, shared several security concerns he had during a recent public hearing, according to the Deerfield Review.
“People could break into my place and then cut a hole in the wall and steal their inventory,” Woodall said in reference to the possible illegal demand for the product that would be sold next door. “Someone could come in with a gun and hold them up.”

But Mitch Kahn, CEO of Greenhouse Group - the company applying to open the dispensary at the site - said there would be extensive security, with all interior and exterior perimeter walls being wired with an advanced system.

“Any vibration will trigger the alarm,” he said. “There are cameras which can monitor everything 24/7. There are cameras everywhere but the bathroom. Even the state can look. The state has a direct feed.”
